A heart warming note from a resident’s family member during these tough times. These are the times that we especially appreciate our community and families…

Dear Twelve Trees,

In these strange times you have all been in our thoughts, and hope that you are coping with the constraints put on you all and everyone is fit and keeping well.

Dad is going strong though troubled by what we are hoping are minor ailments but at ninety four we have to expect some problems! But he is in good spirits despite the lockdown and is coping reasonably well with the isolation probably glad of the rest from us all!!! Although he is learning new skills such as Facetime! and WhatsApp video calls! Proving that you are never too old to learn.

We all, but Dad especially, miss our regular visits to 12 Trees and chatting with you all and hearing about your own trials and tribulations, such as Cheryl’s son with his sporting achievements, he must be finding lockdown hard, and Helen’s plans for domination in the house renovation market! I was looking at your website today and it was nice to see many of the familiar faces there.

“My mother was a resident of Twelve Trees Residential Care Home for the last three years of her life. Mum was what we like to think of as one of the ‘Fiesty’ residents, always fiercely independent despite her ever increasing need for care. The staff of Twelve Trees showed Mum endless patience and compassion. I never had any doubt that she was being cared for with great sensitivity, dignity and respect, which was a great comfort.

They were ever alert to her needs be they a medical need or the assistance in every day activities.

There are a wide variety of activities running in the home which residents have the choice to join in, if they wish.

My Father was a frequent regular visitor and together with the rest of the family was always treated with the same care and kindness.

As Mum’s condition deteriorated Twelve Trees were always trying to come up with innovative ways to make her life more comfortable, for which I will always be eternally grateful.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Twelve Trees as a wonderful home from home.”

We will always be so grateful for your wonderful care and attention to Mum and friendship to us all.

I wish you all the best of health at this time and hope you all stay safe,

With love to all
